This year’s Founders’ Day was held at the University of Toronto Art Centre on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Delta Gamma ladies enjoyed sandwiches, tea, punch, and delicious desserts followed by an awards ceremony and elections. A tour of the Delta Gamma Gallery was also provided.
Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Founders’ Day such a success!
The Alpha Gamma Chapter was granted it’s charter on June 26, 1913, when the first 11 members were initiated at the Clifton Inn Hotel in Niagara Falls during Delta Gamma’s national convention, attended by 250 members.
The chapter was based at University College, University of Toronto and was the first Canadian chapter of the fraternity. This charter turned Delta Gamma into an international organization.
Each week, on the Delta Gamma Toronto Alumnae Association Facebook page, we’ll be posting a profile of a talented, interesting, and fabulous DG! Check our first DG Spotlight here.
If you haven’t submitted a short bio of yourself for this, and would like to, please email email@example.com with your university information (chapter, degree, grad year), and some interesting tidbits about yourself.
Also, if you know another DG that you think should be profiled, please let them know about this or pass along their information!
The Toronto Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association [TAAP] has established a $750 scholarship for sorority members enrolled in a community college or university post-graduate program.
